Here is a rare and handsome Austin Healey 3000 MKII, BJ7 version for your consideration.  It has been slumbering for around 30 years on an Arizona ranch and is now offered as a solid restoration candidate.  I am not an expert on Austin Healeys but this appears to be a great car to work with due to it’s not having significant rust and damages.  The car spent its storage time since the 80's? in the arid Arizona climate and the pictures show the qualities of the beneficial metal condition.  Plates show car in AZ since at least 1973.

The panels are very straight and it is offered undisturbed--  Meaning you can go through it to decide what needs restoration, etc.  That being said, absolutely NO attempt to clean the years of accumulated dust, dirt and debris have been made!  It is obviously NOT A RUNNING VEHICLE.  There are non-Austin Healey parts on it but looks like it could be corrected easily in those cases…

The tires have been replaced with modern, used rubber to make it a roller for the transporting and moving in the shop.  It rolls and steers freely.  The wheels are nice and very, very light and in excellent, usable shape. The parking brake appears to work a bit?

The undercarriage is remarkably sound for its age!  The cockpit floors are estimated as 80% solid.  The rear bumper (see pics) is included but off the car.  It is straight and should clean nicely.  There are no rear bumperettes.  The driver’s side bumper mount is off and in the trunk.  It looks like it was backed into a pole or something (see primer area in pics) as the receiver is bent crooked.

The interior panels and seat frames are present but the upholstery is beyond repair yet included for patterns and rebuilding, etc.  As a bonus, there are several duplicate interior panels, chrome fender beads and other items taken from another car and stored in the cockpit and trunk.

Gauges and dash switches are in unknown conditions.  Steering wheel looks to be aftermarket?  Aftermarket radio applied to dash.  The car’s wiring will need full restoration.

The top frame is in very good condition and is currently latched securely with its front and side wood bows in place.  It is rare to find a nice, straight complete top frame on convertibles like this…

Chrome trim looks reusable or rechromeable-- good to very good.  The important grille is in excellent shape! Fuel tank is present and smells like old gas.  Brake parts appear normal but rubber is obviously perished.  Pedals are all present.  Frame rails are solid.

Doors have window glass and are in up position.  Windshield is present in straight frame with good metal.  Windshield has small chips but no cracks.

Another bonus:  Two nearly rust-free spare doors are included in the sale.  One is missing the top garnish trim but it may be in the trunk with vent window assembly.  These doors look to be in remarkable condition!  Have "Austin Healey" badge for trunk but not "3000."

Fenders and body panels appear very solid with some small rust areas on surface ahead of the rear wheel arches as usual.

The original engine and transmission are not present or available as the car was converted to a Mazda rotary engine back in the day.  You could remove it and source a proper Austin Healey drive train as many cores are available from rusted out cars back East.  The original Austin Healey radiator is present and looks good.  Was used with the rotary engine...   The differential is the original Austin Healey unit and the previous owner said it was a limited slip type-- I don't know if that was a stock or upgrade option.

Should you want to consider using this rotary power plant, it appears to be the 130Hp 12A engine from a circa 1974 RX3 or RX4.  The previous owner said it was running when parked.  If originality is not on your list, the previous owner also stated that the small block Chevy engine will fit in the engine bay!

Review the details and photos to make sure this is the right vehicle for your needs.  Please do not bid if you are not confident in completing the sale.  This Austin Healey is offered as-is, as-shown, no warranty, sale is final.  Payment balance due in 7 business days.  NO International payments or bidders accepted.  Available for pickup upon payment, ground level Chandler, Arizona within 15 days of sale.

Location is near the 10 freeway for easy pickup.  Can help loading trailer, etc.  The lost Arizona title has been replaced with a current, clear bonded title ready for transfer to the new owner.

I want you to be happy with your purchase.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.  Thanks.
